We started the journey of our dream retirement home with local recommendations and the record of previous Master Builder Awards for HAMR Homes projects. From our first meeting with Richard and Hannah Warwick, we were confident we had made the right choice.

HAMR Homes systems of Estimation, contract management, timeline scheduling, accounting and communication, which were all excellent, gave us the confidence to travel New Zealand whilst our house was under construction.

The HAMR Home team is a great group of builders. They are switched on; absolutely committed to each project and using their skills and craftsmanship to set their finished homes in a league of their own. Hannah and Richard are good, honest people. They are both great at communicating, and we felt so confidant that all would go well from the beginning, and it certainly did. We now call Richard and Hannah our friends, which is a huge accolade considering some horror stories you hear of client/builder relationships! Our friendship is a testimony to their characters and how well the process went for us. We recommend HAMR Home to anyone wanting a seamless construction process and a beautiful, well constructed building at completion.

Our build coincided with the COVID induced building supply shortages and spiraling costs, however at an early stage Richard was able to forward order and in some cases take delivery of product weeks in advance so that the job flowed and also we were protected from price increases. The final cost therefore was acceptably close to the original estimate. 

We were impressed with their online portal which included progress reports, photos, and costs. Everything was transparent and we knew exactly where we stood.  Richard and Hannah are passionate about their business and are committed in producing a top product.
Everything came in on budget, there were no surprises and we are enjoying a beautiful home.
Our journey with them has been nothing short of fantastic.

Managing a building project from the other side of the world (Luxembourg) was made very easy by HAMR. HAMR managed the entire process from design, planning application, the build and all decorating, furnishings and fitting out ready to rent. The budget was sensible and was achieved and was also within projected time frames.  . It was 18months before I got to see the finished result and was very impressed with the place ..... I am contemplating another similar project in the coming years and will definitely use HAMR.

We had HAMR Home Building Contractors build a new retirement home for us. This house won several awards from Master Builders in the Auckland region. That award confirmed our view that the quality of the work completed by Rich and all his team and sub-contractors was excellent.
During the build we continued to live in Hamilton so the electronic service he used to keep us informed was critical. We visited the site from time to time. We must say, upon reflection and having seen other homes built in Whitianga since we got here, that HAMR Homes stayed on the job until it was completed. This was important to us as we wanted to get into our new home as soon as possible.

Wow, what can we say, how fantastic that our house has taken both awards at the Master Builders House of the Year, both the Regional and the National. We just want to say how appreciative we are of the effort you put into building us such a beautiful home and for making the whole building process such an enjoyable experience.
You took ownership and your enthusiasm from the time you received our plans, to the day you handed over the keys never faltered. Your input into ways to build our home within our budget, without compromising the quality of the build was really appreciated.

We purchased a three bedroom HAMR home on the waterway in whitianga that was relatively new. Being a family of six we decided we wanted to enlarge the home and contacted Richard seeing he was the original builder. We were given the original architect's details and six months later we had two extra bedrooms, a rumpus room and garage, all within keeping of the original design. Being typical Kiwis we also required an outdoor entertaining area which was also duly constructed.
Richard and his staff were fantastic to deal with, nothing was an issue and we got exactly what we had envisaged and in a timely manner. 

Richard made the beach house I purchased, which had just been remodelled by Hamr Home, fully wheelchair accessible.
It involved retro fitting a through floor lift, bathroom modifications, decking and ramp, fencing and bedroom expansion.
Richard, Hannah and the building team were excellent, and I am very happy wheeling around my accessible house.
The remodelling, re cladding, re roofing and decking undertaken before my purchase are also excellent, making the house as new, and one of the best on the beach.
